The unincorporated community of Security is a census designated area in El Paso County, Colorado. Security real estate is more commonly known as Security-Widefield and sits in the central-eastern part of the state, with a population of 29,845 friendly residents. The county in which Security is located is separated by an extremely mountainous terrain and prairie land. The prairie land is made up of beef cattle and diary cows, which is the main source of income for the local ranchers. The town sits at an altitude of 5,095 feet on the south border of Black Squirrel Creek and a whopping 14,110 feet at the summit of Pikes Peak, on the west boundary. And, best of all, the county seat is located in nearby Colorado Springs.

Some popular activities are mountain climbing, hiking, fishing, boating, hunting, camping, biking, soaring, golf, equestrian sports and the rodeo. Security once held the state's largest golf tournament, with residents and visitors coming from near and far to see the great event.
Parks can be found around the community with playgrounds, community centers, pavilions, picnic areas, senior centers and youth programs. In surrounding areas, you will find the United States Olympic Training Center, the World Arena Ice Hall, the Pikes Peak Center and much more to enjoy. Restaurants and shopping centers are all located in convenient locations for everyone to take advantage of.
